The Crack in the Tapestry

If you look really closely, you’ll see it
Among the threads and inks
Are doorways to other-wheres
Who knows who lurks on the other side?

The unknown untried waits to be explored
Who has the courage to look beyond?
Will it be you friend? You may want a companion
To fight by your side, someone to tell your tale
Once you are long gone.

The first crack is the doozy, it can make you feel woozy.
Stars follow your journey as you pass in the between places
You arrive at your destination, of purple skies and lemon drop suns
The light is incredible, it almost is blinding in its brilliance
The urge to turn away is great, and you heed it’s call.

Now you’re back on the other side, wondering what happened,
But you decide to take another crack at the tapestry
